First, this fantastic album on Charybdis features an illustration from the artist Pacaya of a shadowy scene where fairy tale swans cross paths with an owl under the full moon. Listening completes the storytelling experience.
Hydrous begins the journey with atmospheric and otherworldly deep techno. Textured and organic, “Flow Of Time” slowly unfolds before descending into the cavernous journey through “Mutabor” before emerging into an enchanted dark techno forest for the second half.
I found this album in my inbox on a warm, stormy day, and had the chance to listen to it for the first time while hiking through a rainy woodland that afternoon. Fantastic time, loved it!
