Bristling, snarling, and churning with rumbling kicks, Swedish producer Lakej delivers a new 6 track EP stacked with heavy, dark, industrial techno on the Kazerne imprint, a sub-label of mord that showcases grittier dark techno acts.
Things kick off immediately with the title track which leads with a steady, pounding industrial drum that echoes through the tense and turbulent mechanical soundscape. Raw, reinforced kicks roll out over buzzy, live-wire bass and metallic percussion. Digital bonus tracks Zero Sum and False Memories are slower paced, and seethe with menacing energy and industrial atmosphere.
With a release date of May 31, Nerve Control EP is available now on bandcamp in digital or as a 12″ vinyl bearing the hyena imprint, which I’m sure will be an absolute delight to hear at 4am on any big system.
